Biography

Xu Liang received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, China, in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. David Zhang (Canadian Academician, IEEE Life Fellow, IAPR/AAIA Fellow) and Prof. Guangming Lu. From 2016 to 2017, he was a Research Assistant with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From Aug. 2019 to Dec. 2021, he was a Research Assistant with the Shenzhen Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics for Society. From Jan. 2022 to Apr. 2023, he was a Research Assistant with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen.

Since Sept. 2023, he is an associate professor at the Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is also a committee member of the CAA PRMI and CCF YOCSEF, and a reviewer for journals like IJCV, TIP, TNNLS, TCSVT, TFS, PR, and CAAI TIT etc. His current research interests include pattern recognition, biometrics, image processing, computer vision, and embedded system.
